AgentVerse OS turns one Ubuntu server into a browser desktop for a developer and their agents — isolated project workspaces with VS Code, Claude Code/Codex, and a 944-app self-host store over Tailscale.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (agentverse-os/AgentVerse-OS). Rust cloudd + Svelte desktop; Incus workspaces with Docker inside; capability wiring (storage.s3, llm, notify) instead of hard-coded addresses; Tailscale TLS with no public exposure. One-command install aimed at a personal cloud, not a SaaS tenancy.

## The Catch

Vs Coder, Umbrel, and Pi: this is a full personal cloud OS for agents, not a workspace control plane alone, a home NAS app store alone, or a coding harness. Alpha 0.2 on a single-person test box — no multi-user accounts yet; needs Ubuntu + ZFS/Incus/Tailscale ops weight. Bring your own Claude Code/Codex subscriptions inside workspaces.

## Verdict

Apache personal agent cloud when you will run Ubuntu+Tailscale yourself; skip if you wanted a managed IDE or a simple CLI harness.
