## The Hook

AgentScope is a Python framework for building and running LLM agents. Version 2.0 leans on the model's own reasoning and tool use instead of rigid prompts and orchestration.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (agentscope-ai/agentscope), release v2.0.10 (2026-10-12), with commits this week. Production-oriented building blocks for tools, memory, multi-agent setups and agent services, with experimental realtime voice for agent services announced in October 2026. ## The Catch

It gained about 232 stars a week since January 2024, backed by a large team and steady releases. Much of the community is Chinese-speaking. Version 2.0 changed the abstractions, so older examples may not apply.

## Verdict

A serious framework to evaluate next to LangGraph and similar tools.
