## The Hook

AgentMesh joins your laptops, servers and phones into a private network for agents: each node runs a local MCP server and an OpenAI-compatible endpoint that routes model requests to whichever node can serve them.

## What's Good

Apache-2.0 (google/agentmesh), release v0.1.0-rc.10. Node identity comes from your OpenID Connect provider or a one-time bootstrap token, so there are no shared API keys to pass around. One install script, `agentmesh-node run`, and a control plane you can start on your laptop in one command. ★~1k.

## The Catch

Still a release candidate (v0.1.0-rc.10), so expect changes, and the README says it is not an officially supported Google product. Every node has to enroll with a control plane, which you run and secure yourself.

## Verdict

An interesting way to share models and MCP tools across your own machines — treat it as an experiment until 1.0.
